Medtronic - Precision is our Nature

3D Design, Animation by Daniel Medina

In 2024 I worked on this project and here is my Director's Cut — with a whole new story.

The subject is a Medtronic surgical robot — designed for urology procedures, where precision isn't a virtue, it's everything.

I didn't want to showcase a machine. I wanted to introduce a character. Every story needs a hero — and a hero only works if you can feel something for them.

The answer wasn't in what it cuts. It was in what it restores.

The robot repairs an orchid. Petal by petal. With the same care it would give to human skin. So when it's done — a butterfly lands. And at that moment, the robot isn't a machine anymore. (That wasn't in the brief.)

This is the kind of work I want to keep making — where technology meets storytelling, and design serves a bigger narrative.
